Third edition of On Conflict and Consensus is released
On Saturday, my copies of the third edition of On Conflict and Consensus arrived from C.T. Butler – and so I have posted the pdf. It’s compiled from the same source, and using the same software, as the pdf that was used to print the book. You can find it, as usual, at http://wandreilagh.org/consensus.pdf.
In preparing the version for publication online, I switched from the 8.5″ x 5.5″ version that C.T. used for printing to 8.5″ x 11″ – a size that US readers will find easier to print. If you are elsewhere and want, for example, A4 format, please let me know – it’s just a few keystrokes, and I can post a pdf in just about any size. Note that pagination is different in every size, and thus references, to be usable by others, should be made using section numbers rather than page numbers.

Hi, It’d be great if you could put up an A4 version. Or even publish the (LaTeX?) source.

Thanks for the prompt, Michael – I’ve posted the A4 version at http://wandreilagh.org/consensus-a4.pdf
I’m still considering how best to share the LaTeX source files – though the content is available under a creative commons license, the various comments strewn throughout are not, and the sources are not all in one file. It would take a fair chunk of time (or a very carefully crafted regular expression) to remove all (and only) the unlicensed comments. And then I’d have to pack it all into one zip file. In short, I think it may be a little while before I post the sources, though I fully intend to do so.

Okay, I just made a new version of the source files that doesn’t include any unlicensed comments. I’m not posting the zip file yet because I haven’t figured out how to make license text pop up when you open it, and I want the license to be obvious. Email me at gavin.white@alumni.reed.edu to request the source files.
