Oh. Problem (sort of) solved. Airplane mode turned off like a charm when I pressed the call button on the emergency keypad. Even without any digits.

And then replugging the phone gives iTunes its needed data, even though it has no signal. Activation will just have to wait until I'm home.

Thanks to bjkbjk for the solution, which I found in this thread.

Thanks for asking, Bill – you can get copies of the book from CT Butler. I'm copying here some of the text from p 109:

Copies of this book can be ordered by emailing ctbutler@together.net or calling 1-800-569-4054.

To order via email, send the name and address where you want the books sent, the number of books you are ordering, and, if the billing and shipping addresses are different, the name and address of the party to be billed. Single copies of the book cost $12.50 plus $2.50 in postage and handling for a total of $15. Orders of 10 or more receive a 20% discount. You will receive the book by USPS in seven to 10 days.

C.T. Butler can also be reached at the following address:
Food Not Bombs Publishing
7304 Carroll Ave #136
Takoma Park, MD 20912
1-800-569-4054
email: ctbutler@together.net

If you print a copy for personal or organizational use, we request you send $3.00 to C.T. Butler at the above address for each copy. Do not print copies for resale.

Do you have the conflict/consensus material in a book/printed form? I'd like to order it, rather than printing out 109 pages of the PDF or reading all of it on the computer screen.

Thanks

Thank you Gavin for your beauty, inside, outside and through your words. Once again I am blessed by having heard your mother and step-father's story, by your hugs and simply meeting you. Peace be with you.
