A slice each of waldorf and Italian pizzas, a pint of blackberry soda, and a small salad, while reading the Terms of Service for Google Checkout merchant services.
I’m really very hungry. This is way too late to be eating lunch without having a snack. And so I’m glad to have this sandwich in front of me. It’s called a Kerouac: turkey bacon avocado, with lettuce and tomato. I got mustard in place of mayo, because they’ve no Vegenaise here. And a salad in place of chips, because really, do I need chips? No. Do I need salad? Yes.
Eaten while re-writing my essay on relationships, which I hope to submit for publication in the QUIP book at the end of February.
No pictures, because it’s too dark. There are nine of us here. Pork loin medallion dinner for me, with sides. Tastiness anticipated!
Skirt steak, rubbed with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and broiled, served with a salad of baby spinach, toasted hazelnuts, and Shaft’s Gold Reserve blue vein cheese, dressed in drippings from the broiling pan.
Enjoyed with my brother, Henry, over conversation about the chocolate business, time management, story-telling, finances, and the coming summer. Consumed and cleaned up in about an hour.
Prepared in fifteen minutes.
Butterflied chicken breast, rubbed with oil, salt, and pepper, sauteed, and served with a carmelized onion and toasted hazelnut aioli over a bed of baby spinach.
Enjoyed while on a conference call with the Organizing Committee of the Home Ecovillage Project in Brighton, England.
15 minutes prep; 30 minutes to eat and wash up.
