Intellectual self
I am inclined to think about systems as a whole, to examine underlying assumptions, and to seek understanding as the intersection of perspectives. I weave disparate elements into a coherent whole.
I delight in the exploration of ideas. I seek creative and interesting solutions to problems. I relish careful analysis, intellectual discourse, dialogue, and even (at times) debate.
I have a great mind for numbers, names, and stories, and I’m told that I write rather well but not enough. I love games – strategy, resource management, tactics – as well as puzzles, math, and words.
I enjoy etymology, get giddy grokking grammar, and appreciate accuracy. I tend to be very precise in my use of language.
I speak English rather well. My French and Spanish are good enough to live in the language, and start thinking in the language within a month or so at the most, but I’m out of practice speaking both of them. I’m told that my Japanese pronunciation is excellent, but I can’t read or write the language and my vocabulary is minimal. I’m told I acquire languages quickly.
I have an introductory level of knowledge in most subjects, and I’m an excellent teacher.
