Physical/material self
I am a healthy white man, born in the late 1970s, about 174 cm (5′ 8.5″) tall. I have dark brown hair that gets red highlights in the sun – especially in my close-trimmed beard. I wear glasses to correct my eyesight, which is otherwise foggy at a distance.
My weight has ranged from 60 to 70 kg (135 to 155 lbs) in my adult life, and I’m closer to the high end as of this writing (September 2007). While I consider myself out of shape by comparison with the height of my training (working out eight hours a day), I’m still fairly fit. I have 15.9% bodyfat, a .84 waist-to-hip ratio, and a .47 waist-to-height ratio, with my chest being the same circumference as my hips. I’ve been athletic – now, I’m just thin.
I tend to take on leadership roles wherever I go, often just by pitching in and helping out with whatever needs to be done. The Facebook “compare people” application says I’m the most confident and organized of all my friends.
I graduated from Reed College with a degree in Mathematics. I have a blackbelt in Taekwon-Do, which I have been studying since 1990. I’ve been practicing Tai-Chi (Yang – long form, sword, and saber) since 1996, and Aikido (Shinshin Toitsu) since 2000.
